General

saver/waster/tight/generous?
I used to be a waster
but now I am a Generous saver.

I have a 3-step approach

1. Get some
2. Spend it
3. Rinse and repeat.

I just water the money tree when funds are getting low.

I think in some people this changes with age. Although certain characteristics are so ingrained in some people they remain the same as the decades go by, Savings and generosity tend to increase with age.

Now im like you - a generous saver.

@badradger

money is one of the tools i keep in my toolbox
i use it to create more money
like cloning without the moral questions

Not very motivated by it, perhaps to my detriment sometimes. In terms of the importance [to me] of what it is I am doing, I seem very often to be unable to differentiate between that which is lucrative and that which is pro bono and that which is a labour of love.

Of course. I was reading up on some UK registered charities and it was surprising how small a % of the funds collected actually go to the recipients. So you are correct to keep it local and secure.

Cautiously, as it’s something I don’t see, very often.πŸ˜₯

I spend it.

Every day could be your last. πŸ˜‰

@badradger

Nothing like an experiment to answer a question. Just send some over and I'll let you know what I did with it. 😁

It seems that whenever I approach money, it gets skittish and moves away.

Every organization, however charitable, expends a significant portion of its funds on internal management and the maintenance of itself as an organization. Tis the way of world, alas.

They say money talks and yours said goodbye.
