The joys of Internet radio...I've been using it mainly to listen to foreign languages (RFI, Deutsche Welle), but my horizons can probably do with some expansion. So what are your favourite stations for
- music
- comedy
- current events
- culture
- etc
Thanking you most kindly.

Plenty of ecletic music on www.resonancefm.com. It's run by the London Musician's Collective, anything and everything played music wise, plus spoken word, arts and politics (the listings give a decent idea). And the programme by the Deptford Pensioners is a given - if the old Alf Garnett character that presents it is still kicking around, that is.
A friend of mine hosts www.indielectronicaonline.com, which is good for a little light listening every now and again (playlists updated every week or two). Does what is says, with a lot of live tracks and remixes.

who can improvise on keyboards in his sleep and sound incredible
all the time. He noodles for about 20 minutes on keyboards and
then has a musical guest and has a few years of archives already.
Highly recommended. I was even on the show once but it was not
recorded. He only allows music in public domain or original
compositions to get around the Ascap mafia.
Its artmusiccoffeehouse.com (all three words spelled out completely)
I am listening to one of his archives right now, 3/17/04 the solo
artist is Russ Rentler, a multi-instrumentalist. The opening 20 minutes
are always Art however. Anyone into syths will be amazed by Art,
No Doubt About It. His music has a flowing cohesiveness and
playfullness that has to be heard to be believed. A genius.
