My house mate claims to have bowled out Viv Richards. Or did he say Cliff Richards? 🙂

I once hit Alex Tudor (England Cricketer) for 4, but he wasn't bowling full pace 😛

Played football with Neil "Razor" Ruddock last weekend.

hey huck - I did kick boxing until a few years back...

anyway, thought you might like to kjnow that some psychos in Holland have invented "Chess Boxing". 5 four minute slots playing chess interupted by 4 two minute boxing rounds. You win either by knockout or checkmate.

It was originally invented as a display piece by a conceptual 'artist' who wanted to challenge conventional steriotypes (all boxers are stupid, all chess players are nerdy wimps) but it took off.

I'd enter but apparently it's mainly semi-pro boxers who play a little chess so I probably wouldn't last the first 2 minute round (especially with those pesky "your not allowed to kick or use knees/elbows" rules)

Seriously. I weighed 75kg in grade 11 when I did that.
I only started putting on the pounds when I went to varsity and lived on pies , beer and drugs.

When I was a sophomore in high school I played on the B-squad basketball team. I was not too bad of a player, and although I did not start I was generally the sixth man on the floor. That is, for those of our community that don’t know what the sixth man is, I was the first substitute put into the game. And I usually got a fair amount of game time.
I can’t remember why but I had fallen from grace with the coach, and for this one particular game he refused to put me in. I sat on the end of the bench with a friend of mine. When we were not in the game we were more than likely goofing off, checking out the other teams cheerleaders and things of that nature.
So like I said, I languished at the end of the bench with my friend while our team was just taking a thorough pounding from our opponent.
Sure enough, with less than a minute to go in the game, the coach yells “BURNS!” So I sez to my smart-ass friend “watch this.”
Coach sez “Burns, go in there for Cooley.”

And I sez “Shall I win it for you, or just tie it up?”
“SITDOWNBURNS!”

And I did …. For the rest of the entire season I never got any closer to the hardwood than pre-game lay-up drills and second team practice squad. As I look back on it now, I am absolutely pleased with myself. I did not let that golden opportunity pass. I stuck to football and baseball after that.
