You're here again? Great!

Once upon a time, before A-Z Word Associations or Sticky Thread Game or Word Associations Game 2; before Grampy Bobby or Phlabibit, Very Rusty or Great Big Stees; before CatfoodTim or Diveester, Hopscotch or Blackkamp; back in the day before Smileys or Thumbs, when people listened to Sir Crowley the Red Hot Pawn General Forum was almost perfect (so the story goes). "You're here again? Great!" was the prevailing attitude when an interesting post was made or a member's new thread was launched. Then, gradually, year by year things changed for the worse. By 2007 the situation was still tolerable. Since, the RHP General Forum has been going steadily downhill in a hand basket. 2013 is on the horizon. What changes need to be made? What can you do to contribute constructively? Would it be possible for all RHP Forum Junkies to post constructively to this thread? Would it be within the realm of possibility for this thread to live out its brief life without having to gag on spiteful spam and cowardly thumbs or drown in pettiness and personality attack? Let's hope positive suggestions, commonsense and friendly give and take rule the day. Thanks. gb

Is the GF sort of like...well life? Ups, downs. Good times, bad times. Ice ages, temperate ages. Death, renewal. I think so.

Remember, I neither thumb up or down.

A worthy goal, Bobby, but probably not achievable in your RHP lifetime.

Your opening post is riddled with pettiness and personal sniping.

If you want to bring about change, set an example.

Are you pertaining to RHP forums having a new stature in 2007, with the coincidence of your arrival?

The self-righteous arrive continually, in drones of posts...... threads...... and accordingly this one meets the match since 2007.

It is a match/game is it not Bobby, or was 2007 purely a coincidental numeric choice?

So we represent the bad times then ๐Ÿ˜  well excuse me for breathing.

The fact is bobby, that the ones who perpetuate the thumbs down culture the most, are those who constantly tell the thumb downers how upsetting/effective they are, when I see a perfectly good post getting a thumbs down it gives me a giggle, do the same mate and maybe these legends of whom you speak might come back, and if they don't then sod em.

P.s try to remember why you love me ๐Ÿ™‚

"By 2007 the situation was still tolerable. Since, the RHP General Forum has been going steadily downhill in a hand basket."

Simply a point in time reference regarding a certain groupie consensus that the onset of any decline was more than coincidental with Grampy Bobby's discovery of the site mid 2007.

"So we represent the bad times then..." = A popular opinion held by some.

Mikey 'giggles' too.

Still appreciate your courage and candor.

My dear Ponderable I fear you need to have your eyes examined as what I see is the reverse. Why anybody would thumb me down once, let alone twice, is beyond my comprehension. :'(

Edit: Oh wait...are you in Australia or the Antarctic? That might explain your view....maybe.๐Ÿ™„

All I can picture is you pulling up to a burning house in an Exxon gas tanker, pulling out a hose and telling everybody "We got to put this fire out!"

But, but. That would be adding fuel to the fire wouldn't it?
