Games Explorer

Hi all, I like using the Games Explorer .. BUT..the "Master games" database seems very skewed. It shows after 1. d4...white success is 91% of the games. In reality, it's about 50 / 50 (also for 1. e4). Where did the 4000 games come from? and how new/old are the games? Thanks !
