Well, it is correct.
I don't really want to go through all the specific of how it is calculated because I think that is answered in the FAQ and in several other posts.
The easiest thing to do is just to keep playing and when you get to 20 games you will find that you have an accurate rating. Until then, your rating will be erratic.

I didn't read the FAQ either.
Initial ratings seem to be very erratic but I guess you've got to start somewhere and they eventually seem to settle down.
I think the formula is the same used by FIDE for ELO ratings. Am I correct someone?
