I played my game when my rating was 1200 vs my opponent also with 1200 rating. Odd but true my rating collapsed to 970 after my win?? How's that possible ??

Your rating is 970 now, having risen from 862 before the win.

You may have started the game p1200 but rating are recalculated at the point the game ends. Go to your profile and run your mouse along your green graph and watch your rating display above. Rating's are crazy when you first play. It really won't mean a lot until you've completed 20 games.
