Hi, I'm trying to get a new game. I'm asking for 1300min to1450. All I'm getting are challenges outside of these figures.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this usual?

Are you trying to set up an 'open invite' game?
You should be able to set rating limits, which will only allow those who meet the limits you specify to accept the game.

But that's what I'm doing. Nobody seems to take any notice. I think I'll try the other method of getting a game.

It's possible that people are bypassing the rating filter simply by setting up a new game with you, rather than clicking on the "play as" button. To prevent this it's advisable to set rating limits under Challenge in Settings. Then if you want some specific person to challenge you, add them to your Buddy list and make sure the override is on there.
