Instead of being able to edit my posts, I can rec them. I'm not going to rec my own posts, and not being able to edit is annoying. Why did this happen?

If you've just subscribed then you have an additional option; recommend.

The Edit option is only visible for an hour after u post.

Oh that's the reason. I still shouldn't be able to rec my own posts though right? Is it becuase I go on two computers (my families and my schools) but use this account on both?

You can actually click on the Recommend link on your own posts but it doesn't actually increase your number of recs, is this where you're getting confused?
