Stars with wings

I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times before.
Why do some subscriber's stars have little wings (like mine) and others don't?
Also, why do some red stars rotate and others don't?

The rotating star is for the dedicated few who have 100,000 moves under their belts.

The wings vs no wings -- I believe "no wings" shows users who subscribed in a distant era, remembered by few, where there was a flat-rate instead of a yearly subscription. ... could be wrong on that one though.

no, you're right. No wings = one off subscription (not possible anymore, I don't think). Wings = yearly/monthly sub.
