What do you do when playing a tournament and have a player that is not active on RHP? I can let timeout happen on one game only because he/she has not moved. just wondering if there is a way to get the moderator to call the timeout without his/her moving? I could just draw and continue with tournament but then someone in the next round would have the same problem with the player. Thanks for any helpful comments.

I think what happens is you are presented with two tournament games for each opponent (1W-1B). The timeout clock starts running then for BOTH games (3 days, etc.). If your opponent has not made his white move in the timeout period, then his timebank amount, if any, starts being used. When that has been depleted, the skull shows up and you may claim the win. If you do not claim the win after 2(?) days, it is done automaticly to help speed up the tourney.

I think when your opponent has yet to make the first move the clock is running, but you can't see it for his game as white.

In any case don't offer the draw.

    This game?

    Game 4447275

Scroll down to "time control" and you'll see timebank depleting for your opponent.

It is depleting but for some reason it doesn't show as doing so when your opponent is white and hasn't moved. It will timeout eventually.

It also has the notation "timebank depleting" under time control, but no, the "days remaining" hasn't changed from 60. I think there was some talk of RHP adding the feature so you would know how much time is gone in situations like this.

Your opponent's vacation flag is up, but that doesn't help him save any timebank. You might be polite and send him a pm reminder that his time is dropping. Good luck in the big championship.

Just be happy he's not moving. I have one tournament where an opponent decided he had too many games and resigned all of that tournaments game except one against me. That means that all our other opponents got 6 free points and I got 3. To make matters worse, it's a player I have always had difficulty against (1700+ rating)
