tournament question

The first round of a tournament i am in has finished. One guy has won our mini league, but two of us are tied for second. Who progresses, and how is this decided?

In the tourneys I've played in so far only the #1 finisher in each section goes on.

thats what i assumed as well, but it says...

3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. Leading player or players progress. Winner of the final group wins the tournament.

It does exactly what it says on the tin.

If you had tied for 1st (and not 2nd), then the leading players progress.

Yep, besides being devilishly handsome, Ragnorak's also right. If there's a tie for first in a bracket both players move on.

OK, cheers guys for your help. Upon reflection it was fairly obvious! 🙂 Oh well, me wonders off to find another tournament!
