Why are "freaking" quotes "broken"???

Quotes never "show up" on my screen. I just get a "&quot" or something!

It's a common problem with message boards, that special characters don't always work. A couple of other places that I haunt on the internet, special characters work fine if you post without previewing your message but they get screwed up as soon as you do a preview.

Not sure what the problem is here at RHP. Maybe editing affects it?

Russ implemented an update a couple of months back. All posts made pre update will show that "/quote" whatever, while all posts made after that update will appear fine.

has to do with magic_quotes setting in php.ini had this a couple of days ago... 🙂
