PAWN RIOT has just submitted 8.Qd2, leading to the following position.
1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 g6 6.Be3 Bg7 7.f3 0-0 8.Qd2
8. ... Nc6 seems to be the most common move. Then white has a choice between 9.Bc4 (where both sides launch attacks) and 9.0-0-0 (oops 🙂 the positional approach).
My vote is for
8. ... Nc6

Joined 12 Feb '05 Moves 47202 9. Qd2 is an illegal move. I suggest that if he does move so, we stop the clocks to complain to the arbiter. This will at least buy us some extra time to decide on moves.
