Another is the lack of passion over topics of general interest (and the fear of expressing an opinion that may be criticized).

Never mind recs, games Explorer doesn't work at all. Now I have to google to find my lines. 😠

Can it be that we are like (married) couples that haven't much to say to each other anymore - either we have said it before, or we agree on most things, or we disagree and there isn't much point in going through all that again...?

A long time ago my brother-in-law and I were trying to reason with each other, but we were so used to talking with our wives that he kept calling me "Pumpkin" and I kept calling him "Honey"... and our wives were rolling on the floor laughing at both of us.
