Shadows over my squinting eyes
a dark gray cloud of tears
lightning blossoming, presaging gloom
whenever I wake up to a new day
and I am out of bloody cereal.

The crumbs at the bottom of your biscuit barrel make an
adequate replacement until you can get to Tesco. If it's
a weekend have a lie in until the pubs open and buy some
dry roast peanuts.

Who helps to perpetuate this ridiculous myth that breakfast is the most important meal of the day anyway?
I contribute to that silly notion by stopping at a convenience store a couple of mornings each week on the way to work and getting chicken wings and coffee for breakfast...healthier than jelly donuts (I think).

It's supposed to be very healthy. I like it marinaded in lime, chilli, garlic, ginger and onions, then poached in tin foil in the oven. The only down side is that it repeats on me all night.
