im sad i wanted england to win and thought they had a good chance. i play soccer and if a ref makes a call theres no point in crying about it just to get in trouble and screw your team over. just get up and keep playing the game and try to win. i dont see why professionals do that when their making millions ne ways.

I think you mean, because Ronaldwhatever-his-name-is did a moronic imitation, with a little help from his Argy referee pal.

After England was defeated by Portugal, I refrained to post any opinion on the match 'cos I was sure I'd be flamed by morons like you.
Facts, in (almost) time line order:
1. In the match Argentine-Germany, the titular goalkeeper, Abbondanzieri, got injured and was replaced by Franco. A great advantage (decisive I think) for Germany here.
On a curious note. no one commented on this fact in the threads,
2. Horacio Elizondo, in his actuation as ref, hasn't be a pal of anybody,
hear that you idiot? He is consider as one of the best (impartial) referees up to date in the WC. But may be you prefer Lubos Michel over him.
3. So Rooney was correctly sent off. Elizondo being at 50 cm off the place where Carvalho was laying on the floor. If you pretend to have seen that better from a tv, well. You'd be an International Ref, and win the prizes that Elizondo has won during his long and honest career.
Originally posted by CrazyLilTingGermany never would have tied the game let alone taken it to shootout where they won had they not injured Argentinas goalie. I think it stinks to have games decided because of things like this. While I believe Rooney shouldnt have been red carded, I do wonder if it would hve made a difference. Would the game still go to shootout? Would England still take orrible shots without the slightest bit of hesitation to trick the Portugal keeper? Would Englands keeper still suck with the only two missed shots being bad ones that were kicked wide of the bar for no reason. Alot of ifs there.

1. Obviously Argentina only lost because their goalie was replaced through injury - everyone knows that - haha.
2. Very impartial hey? First he's signalling for a free kick to England - then changes his mind and gives Rooney a red card - nothing to do with being surrounded by the other team. 🙄
3.Of course one can see things far better on tv especially with the benefit of slow motion replays. It's been proved beyond reasonable doubt to have been accidental to most unbiased people.
Calling someone an idiot doesn't make your interpretation of events right.

Rooney is a filthy murderous tinker, whom you pinned all your hope on, largely due to the paucity of your overall team, and he blew it. As did the rest of them.
'Argie ref'- you are laughable.
