I beat him in Game 2211536 and he seemed a decent and genuine guy although lately his standard of play for the number of games he plays was somewhat high and his rise to 2200+ did surprise me as in our games I hadn't felt he was that level.

The post that was quoted here has been removedI might be imagining it but those games seem to be a totally different style than in the ones I played him.
Now I come to think of it in my won game against him he did suddenly start playing better once he was losing and it then almost slipped away from me (and I had to return the exchange) so it is possible he started using an engine half way through. Up to then he was unbeaten (I think) so it is possible he was rated 1750-1850 and only started using an engine once he reached that limit. (but don't we all start spending more time and perhaps playing better when we suddenly realise we have blown it?)
In Game 3027212 I found it strange that a human player would allow his Rook to be restricted to (trapped on) h3 (Going there doesn't seem right) even though it could extricate itself.

I have played him in a tourney that is ongoing, drew one lost one to him. The tourney leader hasn't yet finished his games with him. Will my results stand for the tourney purposes? I have a sneaking suspicion they will...
