Wozzup guys, too hard?! It is good for training you should try this four puzzles for 8 years old children !!
I for one did do them.Just couldn't be bothered to post the solutions I came up with.
These last 4 were cool.Much tougher than the first ones 🙂

I just saw as well if Bxe2 then Bb7# quite nice how four pieces defend the mate but all are able to be decoyed with a single move

Yes, like others, on this first one I got it in about a second- maybe because this is a common pattern

you have to be a little careful making an assessment in a second though, sometimes there can be a lurking piece that can take the knight at the end.

White mates in three! 8 possible mates, depending on black's replies. Work it out. Please post some of your own puzzles ! I want to be challenged too... :-)

1.Ng6 and black has no good defence to protect both h8 and f8 at the same time.

Assuming Ivan doesn't mind me hijacking his thread 🙂

I'll try to post a few simple puzzles where the solution is not mate....

    black to move:

...Rxc3, then if white recaptures, bishop forks king, rook and knight

I don't mind, exactly the opposite I would like more puzzles from anyone!

There are two solutions; Rxc3 is not one of them....

I just checked with fritz, I'll be genorous and give you half a point! -- Fritz evaluates Rxc3 Bd2 as completly equal [0.00] (seeing as black is two pawns down, i think Rxc3 its worth some credit)

but this didn't change the fact the two possible solution moves give black the advanatage (and both are sooooo simple you will kick yourself)

Black is to move and has the advantage, however, Black makes a mistake and Plays Ba5??

I want you guys to work out how white can refute the move Ba5, and secoundly, I want you guys to work out what black should have played instead...and why

Ba5, Qa6 and black loses the bishop

instead Ne4! threatening Nc3+ forking the king and bishop and the threat on the d2 bishop keeps the rook tied down.

    white to play and win
    Bf4 Bxe3+ Kh1

Now black must concede material to avoid mate --

    for example

    Qe8 Qxe6+ Qxe6 Rf8# -- moving a way from e6 will result in a philidors mate with Nf7+

I think Rc5 is blacks best try.
