if 6.Bxf7 you're a piece up and consolidate?

the rest: Nb6 wastes a tempo I think. you either play e6 or Nb6, but not both. in the early opening you're usually looking to attack e5-pawn with d6 or d5. d6 is the book move here. (but I know even less about e6 than about Nb6.)

of the rest, I'm sure you know more about the french than I do.

The problem is this is a typical 2. c3 game for me. But when I checked I found out I played the proposed line (on the previous page) but shouldn't have played ...e6.

After the different move, still Black shouldn't do that bad, but hey, I did, as usual.
