Is it possible to get 18 Kings in checkers?!!! 😵

Have a free 58 move starting point 🙂

OK...OK...I'm wrong...you did it!

I don't know how you did it - but you did it.

(I'm getting a years supply of column inches out of you guys) 😉

I bet if I said compose me a position where the Queens and Rooks
dance the Highland Fling on g8 you would do it.

Queen Snooker

Who can pot the most pieces.

Need a positon to show awesome power of the Queen on open board
and effect of unprotected pieces. Have quickly knocked this one up.

Note the king must be forced onto the squares allowing piece
to be taken with a check - anywhere else and it's gets mated.

In this positon I'm potting 5 pieces. It would be great if I could
get one that pots all 7 pieces.

QxQ+, QxR+, QxR+,QxN+ and then the Bishop.

I would prefer it on an open board.

I've a feeling you were wanting something instructive, but due to my inability to make something like that, here's a white to play and mate in 7 where the queen pots a piece every step of the way.

May not be realistic, but according to fritz it's legal, so neeeeh 😉

Heh...Fritz sucks at retro analysis. 😛

6 promoted black pieces + 3 black pawns = BUST - one too many.

Ingenious Dood, yes I was looking for something simple, game like,
to be used to show students the actual full power of the Queen.

But impressive none the less...

You and SG will now be playing Queen Snooker to see who can
pot the most pieces. I wonder if any of you will get all 14.

If we're allowed in between moves, white to play and mate in 10. White queen pots 8 pieces.

I'm just bumping this up this up to the top of the page
before it gets lost amongst all previous posts so I can find
it again in a couple days when I do a column...

...er that's it. 😕
