What OTB gradmasters do you know of on RHP?

We have Strong Players here.

If you guys were really concerned about dues supporting members, you would not have harrassed me and threaten to have me banded. I was a dues supporting member until that happened. I thought it was a good site to play chess and talk to other players until this happened and I certainly did not want to pay my renewal dues and then get banned from playing here. I know I could go somewhere else, but I came here first at the recommendation of my daughter and I was enjoying it until Proper Knob accused me of lying and cheating. Then you guys followed suit. I think this kind of talk needs to stop.

Comparing win % on here against strong OTB players is not very accurate
and is no proof of cheating.

Kingshill's average opponent is 1800 far lower than any strong OTB player
past or present.

Here you can pick and choose who you play.
I got to 2000+ (eventually) by just playing under 1600 players.
You cannot do that in the OTB world, there you have to play who you get paired
against and the better you are the tougher the opponent.

Consider that I've never played him I really don't know why he's having a go at me.

Up until recently I was a subscriber and I will subscribe again BUT I want to study the games that I've played in order to reshape my openings. eg I no longer play Bg5 against the Slav preferring e3. This means that I have to adjust my middle game as well as learning the opening. If I want instant chess I'll play on Freechess or ICC.

From the game (v RJH) posted in another thread JCM can hardly play chess so I don't know what he's 'clowning' on about. On the whole I try to make constructive comments on here.

There are no GMs in Wales but we have 3 IMs. My son is also an FM and now that his dental studies are coming to an end hopes to gain an IM title in the next year or 2.

CHILL OUT JCM...... It's only a game after all NOT LIFE and the AIR WE BREATH..

GM Nigel Davies is, I think, 1/8 Welsh. Both he and Gawain Jones are often assumed to be Welsh because of their names.

Other than Jones I don't think that Gawain has any connection with Wales. Nigel played and possibly lived in Wrexham but I don't count him as Welsh either
