wow never heard of it, sounds pretty impossible to imagine a three player game though. I did play 4-way chess once though. simply sixteen square were added to each side of the board and each player got a set to move with. decently fun.

I just went to ebay and searched three player chess, it came up with a bunch of boards, no pieces though.

How about this one: http://www.chessapeak.com/chess.html It is for 2 - 4 players.

Last time I was in England I bought one from a games shop in Coventry city centre. Great fun. It was made in Poland so the intructions weren't that clear - I got some decent rules by searching for "chess for three" on google.

You know, you might want to add this to site ideas.

I think it would be fantastically fun to play four-way chess right here on RHP. 🙂

man, 3-player Chess thats really pointless, think a bit and believe me! if you want some more fun, play 4-Player Chess, thats pretty cool, its a Teamwork - 2Players opposed 2 Players, like a Bridz!

The 4 way chess is so fun. I bring mine to the chess club sometimes.

I don't think 3-way is pointless: it isn't a pure game of skill, but as an exercise in duplicity it works pretty well.

Anyone find any online sites you can play this sort of chess?

I would be interested in some games with you Rhp players.

Bishops Games - they still sell them I think.

The multiplayer version I played had a 'Prince' who could get crowned somehow.

Well done - I would never have remembered the name of the shop and I had no idea they had a website.
I have a lot of fun with this game with my 2 boys - I like the element of alliance and betrayal.
