I just hope GP doesn't take interest in my games.

But this is pretty funny.

It's a wonderful trap that White played for. A classic.
Even Tal fell for it as he says in Life and Games of M Tal. A very common trap, but it could happen to anyone.

Ha, when he does, he'll find out that you beat me fair and square - I can't believe I played h3 instead of g3 defending the bishop - but you took full advantage of it. I can already see the thread title: 'A 1306 beats davaniel 1844 - hilarious.' or something like that.

Sadly enough, yours isn't my biggest upset. In fact, I beat a player
over 200 points higher, and he hung no such piece.

LOL, that's me. I sometimes fail miserably against (supposedly) weaker players. 🙂

Kudos to him, though.

Edit - BTW, I lost both my games with him. 😵

Georgie P., though, is one of those players whose rating is artificially low because of large numbers of timeouts every so often. I played with him in a tourney and he timed out every game. I'd say his "real" rating is 1400s, give or take.

You appear to have added to yet another grim warning against
taKing the QNP with the Queen.

What were you thinking -

"...the Rook on f2 is pinned so I can grab the pawn"

Forgetting that the very act of grabbing the pawn actually unpins the Rook
