Well, he is a GM, which is impressive, but on the other hand he is not an active player. Given these considerations, and after a long consultation with my mates alexstclaire and Jusuh, you will be allowed to hint at any victory you may achieve. Anything more and you will be branded a boaster.

Note: Your admirable efforts to amend your nationality have also been taken into account.
Ok, my opinion isn't the groups, congratulations tony, thanks for the sarcasm dyl. Everyone who beats an IM-I want to hear about it!! And I mean everyone

Im not angry at all, I just woke up, I can't be angry when I'm listening to Silverstein-awsome. Tony is the one beating the IMs, im not sure that i could offer much help.

Jesus....The amount of flaming that goes around in all these forums is just ridiculous. It's this simple ladies and gents: If you don't like my posts, simply don't read or post in them. Then eventually, if everyone decides my posts aren't read worthy, they will sink to the bottom. It seems like anyone who has a bad day or something immediately comes on here and just starts bashing other people. I am at college and don't have my NCO or anything like that. The position that I got out of the opening didn't seem all that great for me. I was wondering if there are any improvements. Certainly the key mistake here was missed the fact that after all the exchanges on e4 Nf3+ was bone crunching. I simply want other peoples opinions on my play. It seems like half the posts in this forum have nothing to do with improving anyones chess. And if they do, another significant portion just turn into flame wars. It's sad. This is an internet forum folks: A place where people can come to discuss some central topic. I certainly didn't post this win to figure out whether it's impressive or not. I agree, when an IM is playing 35 people at one time, he is gonna drop some games. There is no argument needed. I agree. I just like to analyze games. I wish people would post more games here, ask more questions about opening theory, etc... I love Bowmanns tactics problems that he posts here. It's sad that those have turned into bash posts. I mean is it that hard to not post? I just wanna talk chess. That's it. My mistake. By the way, it's pretty apparent that my real name is Tony, and in other posts I have posted my last name too. So if you wish feel free to call me Tony, Rotella, Mr. R., Mr. Rotella, Tony Rotella, T-Dizzle, T-Dog, Tone, whatever you want.

It's alright now, Tones, the warring parties have hugged. With that settled, I'm sure someone will now help you with what you originally asked for.

Tones wasn't one of his suggested names.....🙂

Hahaha, Tones is even cooler than the lame names I came up with! Hehe....

EDIT: Grandmouster completely roughed that IM up. Nd4 was terrible! 1 0 Bullet is just slapstick chess. Like after Rxc6, He didn't even take it back...hehehe...

Well, I for one am quite glad that he posts the games. It's not to brag, it's to provide an example for analysis and instruction. I find watching the OTB games of good players to be quite informative.

Seeing as they've been asked for and in part to stick up for Tony who has every right to be proud about his win, here are my wins against a GM and an IM. Admittedly they are only 5 minute games and they did play as if they might have had a little too much to drink, but I'm proud nonetheless:

How do you guys know they are GMs and IMs? or are you going by the rating?

I hope they are not. ICC/playchess ratings are badly inflated...2400 IM can easily achieve 2700-3200 ratings on the net...

They are an IM and a GM. 5-minute ratings on ICC aren't the same as ICC blitz ratings - even the best GMs only get up to about 2600 on the 5-minute scale.

so, then going by rating? when I was seeing these posts, I was thinking that these were IMs and GMs publically.. ie.. isn't there somewhere that they are registered as IMs or GMs? (I could be wrong here though)

EDIT: this isn't trying to take away at all from the win.. they are still good wins
