Hi everyone, last night I finished this fine specimen of a game on gameknot that was bursting with tactics, your comments would be greatly appreciated to see if there were any flaws in the way I played, or different lines that may have occured.

      Hmm... 11. ... Qc5!?

edit: (haha, wait, no, that loses immediately. NEVER MIND! I think the fact that I thought to suggest this move tells you everything you ever wanted to know about my chess.)

where exactly? I thought i was giving him quite an advantadge, although that opening does give some good play for black

      3. Bb5?? Complete loss of initiative. White gives initiative to black and never regains it.

      5. White moves 1 pawn 3 times and really has nothing to show for it. Loses control of the center and never regains it.

      8. Re1? Here was a chance to try to do some developing, but no - we move the rook. By this time black is so far ahead in development that the rook control of an open file is a non-threat.

      20. Hooray! White FINALLY moves a queenside piece. At this point white is hapless against black, who has all his pieces in action. It's just a matter of time.

White blundered away the game later on but really handed black the initiative, and the game, quite early in the opening.

3.Bb5 is a horrible move(best move in my opinion is d4), then after Be7 he moves a piece twice. And after move six black has three pieces developed and white only two with black to move.

Yeah white did completely waste the tempo he should always have in the opening, but were there any bad moves that i as black played? or could have played better?

You completely took over the game and won it relatively quickly, what more could you ask for? 😛

Honestly, I wouldn't invest too much into analyzing a game that the opponent practically handed to you. I'd analyze a stronger game from a stronger opponent. The reason is that you're not likely to run into such a massive opening blunder as you did on this game, so why not analyze a more common opening in a tighter game?

Black's opening advantage seems to have evaporated rather quickly. Why didn't White go for 13.Bxe6? He still has his extra pawn and is catching up in development. 13...fxe6 looks forced [threat of 14.f5]. The isolated e-pawn is a nice weakness for White to play against.

I think Black should have gone for 7...Bg4. That's a standard, annoying move that Black usually plays in the Icelandic gambit. Reserve the dark Bishop depending on what White does [for example, if he tries to pin the e-pawn, Be7 may be a good way to quickly unpin and castle].

At the end, White would have been fine just playing 25.Qxc2, trading the Knights. The pronouncements of White's demise straight out of the opening are greatly exaggerated. Black played some aggressive-looking moves, but they led to no real advantage once the smoke cleared.
