Do you play the "safe" 3. cd5 Bb1 4. Qa4 line? Or the wild 3. Qb3 variation?

in this position I might try f3 and Nc3 either one,but both will eventually get played, instead of those two moves.

I really do hope that you are joking...this just drops a pawn in two different ways!

what is the idea of this gambit? I have never seen it before and it doesn't seem to help development or control the center like most gambits do.

its by far not sound, but when i sat down a looked at it a few months ago i found a few tricks to it.. ill try to think of them in time for the finals! 😉

Queen to B3 is the only way to go.. don't believe me then lets pay the game out 🙂

Nf3, Nc3 are heavily suggested as the next move for white. I would play Nc3.
Qb3 is also a viable move but not as popular.

I vaguely remember having a lot of fun with 3...e5!? in a game I played a long long time ago.

No chance of that happening!! Plus, I don't want to play your copy of Fritz 11... I know it would win!
