My opponent recently resigned in the position shown:

Game 3268247

I can't work it out. For the first 18 moves on either side this was standard Marshall Counterattack; I actually preferred black's position until he played 23...f5, and even then his compensation looks OK. From the final position I was banking on 27...Qe8 28. Qe4 Nc6 29. Bf5 Qxe4 30. Bxe4 c5, or 27...Re6 28. Bd7 Bc7 29. a4 b4 30. Bd2 bxc3 31. bxc3, both of which seem to offer plenty of chances for both sides.

Did I miss a crucial line? If anyone can see it, or wants to run some ches software like Fritz to give an evaluation of the final position, I'd appreciate it. It's a mystery to me.

Hmm....well white seems better, but 'tis still playable for black. You could pm your opponent ask why s/he resigned.
