Many thanks! What does that mean I do in ICC? In "command" type "observe 1" yeah?

yep, type "observe 1" without quotations into the main console window to open board 1 onto your screen.

I support Karpov as well, but one can't give much for his chances if he loses a playable position on time on move 24.

So much for the first game, lets hope both players will move in time for the next one so we can actually enjoy some chess.

and here Karpov lost (time). After N:e6 N:e6 d:e6 Q:d2 R:d2 R:d2 B:b7 may be black is better, but white is OK because very strong e6-pawn and 2 Bishops
🙁🙁🙁🙁

Kasparov still has the biggest ego of them all, and that counts for quite a lot.

no doubt about that, but also seems karpov is way beyond already. I literally screamed when he moved that d7-knight preventing the ...Nf6+, it was so obvious I just can't believe he missed it.

btw, the webcam had a barely audible english commentary. I just cranked my volume way up and it was fine.

Rh5 looks like it leads more or less to mate, but Black might have a hidden resource

Ah yes... now I see. I guess World Champions are human after all.
