Is from the exchange French which was being played on a regular basis
before Colle was born.

Many lines from the French, Caro Khan, c3 Sicilian. Even the Scandinavian
can adopt the same pawn structure.

No opening can claim the right to a tactical idea.
Oh and Rook lifts are seen in Greco's games from the 1600's.

That what I want but Rg5+ is a perpetual.
(I can see that but PR may have a trick shot up his sleeve)

I'd like to say Rae1 works but it's all messy, many moves.
Would need an evening to work it out.

If a draw was good enough to take PR to No.1 then I take the draw. 🙂

I feel I'm being sucked into a bluff by the two !! PR gave 16.Bxh6!!

Edit: Yep, black can try to escape with Rfd8 but he can't get away fast enough. Not as instant a death as the game but still just as dead.

Thats want I want to play Re1 but those !! are putting me off.

It looks too slow. You are trying to trick me into losing.

If there is a super combo staring at me then I'll be furious.

I'm living an OTB moment here.

I know me PR. OTB With no perpetual I'd play Re1 but with
the perpetual sitting there. I would take it.

Edit. I have seen the other posts.

I was looking at Re1 BEFORE playing Rg5+.
After Rg5+ it looked too slow.
(I never even considered it...I'm still smelling a trick)
Ah well.....at least I know how to post fens and PGN games. 🙂
