This is when conditional moves would be a great idea. If they can do that at a crappy site like knotGame then I am sure it should be workeable here.

That's what I was thinking. If the game is an endgame, your opponent will catch on after a couple of moves anyways. If it's not an endgame, it's highly doubtful you can calculate a mate in 12 with 99%+ accuracy unless you're a genious, so announcing to your opponent that you have a mate in 12 is at best, rude, and at worst, stupid.
I like this rule, but I propose a variation. If your opponent announces mate and can't produce it, you should get one free kick to the nads for every move he announced the mate in. So in this case, mate-in-12 means 12 kicks to the nads if he doesn't produce it. Time-outs can be claimed if your opponent doesn't recover.
