Yes, we're a small country. Only five times bigger than the UK.

I've only visited Africa once. I had never even heard of the country I had to go to (Gabon) so I looked it up on the internet and found out it was larger than the UK!

Even 2200 players can lose in 3 moves at times as in Game 3533889.

There' something wrong here. White could have mated on the
5'th move. There is no way white can have a rating of 2000+

There are many reasons why a player may be able to go from 1200 to over 2000 within 1 year.
This thread gives us all inspiration!

    Game 4719249

One of the worst of my games in this site. After losing one pawn and sacrificing second pawn for some counter play I gave up third pawn because of wrong position of my chess set.

    Game 4692070

10...e3?? - I wanted to play 10...Bxg4 with 11...e3 but unfortunately made second move of my plan first.

[Game ...[text shortened]... phylactic early moves, but they do set-up a thrilling tactical finale!
This is not only his bad game. There are much more games played in quite low level. Some examples:

    Game 3167063
    Game 3073008
    Game 3243519
    Game 2891816
    Game 2907112

So far I've only had one really wretched blunder (vs. Karami)*knockwood*. Plenty of other bad moves and bad positions but most were at least semi-plausible, and versus opponents who had to play well to exploit my errors (Ex: east in Game 4291049).

I was very worried vs. a 1200 player in Game 3403379 - 10.f4 and 11.fxe5 were just appalling.

Also 1500-rated Najdork had me in a head-squeeze in Game 4577197 but I wriggled out of it.

Current #51 on the site (and with 1500+ moves already this month!) has a very bad day at the office.
