Tebby in round 1 played a very strong young junior and it looks like he has another in round 2 🙁....

Thing with corry chess is you can use databases and books and so on unlike OTB chess you play what you learn and obviously he aint learning much because here hes like a GM.

2nd round match.
After a *ahem* slow start, my pre-tourni favourite has a chance to redeem himself.

Draw will be a good result there for him 🙂.....Some decent results in todays rounds so far its an interesting 2 days 🙂....

Stephen Barrett is a pretty strong 2200 - if I remember rightly he got an IM norm last year and beat some good players.

Just looked at the games - Steve Gordon looks in a bit of trouble - he might lose this game, or draw at best.

My team mate, Russell James, is holding his own against Stewart Haslinger too - he might be able to pull through and get a win.
