IT CONTAINS ANIMATED CHESS SETS with real sense of humour which will make you laugh. 3d boards such as glass set, wooden, marble etc
YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE TOURNAMENTS, CORRESPONDENCE CHESS, so forget redhotpawn.com which is a pay site. Chessmaster is FREE!
This is one of the official chessmaster rankings for correspondence chess http://cmxi.ubi.com/ Forget about playchess.com which is pay site and is so crap! Chessmaster GM edition is the best program in the world today. Note for playing online you need an original copy of your CD rom cos its going to ask u for a valid serial number.

How much did you pay to play on RHP? And where do I get Chessmaster for free?
I have Chessmaster 10th Edition and used it a lot when I started to play. Especially the tutorials were immensely helpful. But at least two years ago, the online facilities were crap, so unless a lot has changed, I certainly wouldn't recommend Chessmaster because of that.
Originally posted by KnightsP0WERI doubt that the animated chess sets would make me laugh, but your post certainly did. 😀

In't advertising like this against the TOS?

Edit - I did think it was amusing that he felt the need to warn us that we would need the original copy of the CD for online play. Doesn't everyone buy legal copies of software? 😉
Originally posted by nmdavidbWell, it does smack a little of advertising, but he also stated that Chessmaster is free. So go ahead and interpret that any way you like. 😉
Sounds like an advertisement to me
Dave
Edit - OK, sorry, my mistake. I think he meant that the Chessmaster playing site was free for playing games. Still, I'm not sure he was advertising from a commercial standpoint. Maybe so, maybe not. It's not too important to me, unless he spams from here. If the admins want to pursue it, that's their business.
Originally posted by Mad RookI have it and it's good for analysis and tutorials. The on-line play is great 🙄 Sometimes I've seen as many as 4 people playing at one time!!!!. I think it's worth the 50 bucks but don't get it if you expect to use it for the on-line play.

I've owned three verions of CM over the years, always had hinky little problems with it freezing up or jamming my computer if I was multi-tasking. It played a good enough game, but I always thought it's style was obviously machine-like, not human at all. Has CM improved in this area? My last version was CM7.
