I have 9000...had it for years and it is kinda fun to play but I hear it does not compare with Fritz for analysis.

Was looking on the net and seen that not only is Chessmaster 11 out now but Fritz 11 is coming soon.

Might have to break down and finally get a copy...been thinking about it since fritz 5.1...lol

There was also a thing for Shredder 11...has anyone heard of this one?

Dave
( needless to say i have been out of the chess circles for awhile )

I have X and XI, but I have yet to see anyone but myself when I use the online play function.

Opinions vary quite a lot about how good the actual program is, but anyone touting its online play capabilities seriously needs to have their head examined. Maybe the bed next to Fischer is available.

I just read the OP's previous public forum posts, and two of his previous posts complained of being the only one logged into the CM playing site. So either his latest post is a case of yanking our collective chains via some kind of bizarre humor, or he definitely needs that head examination.

The only thing consistent about his postings seems to be that he doesn't care much for RHP. (Yet he hangs around here anyway?) I get the feeling that he may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Maybe you're right. He's probably waiting patiently on the CM playing site right now, wondering why his RHP posting hasn't added hundreds of players to the CM site. If so, I hope he has infinite patience. He's gonna need it.

I've never been to the CM playing site, but I'm guessing that it doesn't have any active admin support or controls to prevent engine cheaters. Until those basics are in place, I wouldn't think the site would ever draw any significant number of decent, honest, and serious players. But I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't given much thought to those factors.

Why complain about engine use when you can get animated chess sets? 😉

You have a point! I can't argue with that logic! 🙂
