Bxg7 looks a bit crushing 🙂

Honestly if you cant be bothered to look up the board jargon I doubt people can be bothered to explain it more.

Did you ask Karneval before bringing it to the forum? Maybe he could tell you.

Rook - little castley looking thing at the corners of the board.

karneval just said he made a fatal move. Unless he can see a LOT of moves ahead and is some sort of genius ( really good rating) Is it an advantage to resign early on RHP for your rating? thx for your time

my guess is that he saw that he was going to lose his rook and he wanted to play another game against a new opponent.

your white coloured bishop (little thing with a cross on it that can slide up and across at the same time) is about to fly right across the board from one corner to the other, and then eat the black pawn (pathetic little weasily thing which is just one of very many) and sit in a position to eat also the bogged down rook ( little castley looking thing at the corners of the board) in the top right hand corner... your bishop would then also be able to at least eat a little something else on its quest back to freedom.

this can also be thought of as: small thing eats smaller thing, then also eats bigger thing, then gets to eat another smaller thing ... and eventually gets eaten itself after causing massive pain.
