thanks, i found that game tho, there is no way that is there game, the moves at the end dont make sense, magnus gives his rook up for nothing and anand doesnt accepts????? I know it was blitz, but still....i think someone messed up in copying the game down

maybe he was giving it up for positional reasons not tactical reasons.

well I did not look at the position but was just making a suggestion as to why it might say that he gave up his rook and anand didn't accept.

oh, perhaps you should look at the position next time, but it is a clear blunder which anand nor carlsen would never make, so i can only suppose its an error by the website

In the game where carlsen won with the white, it's interesting that Anand didn't resign but went all the way to checkmate even though it was an easy KQ-K endgame.
