Check within 3 moves?

My opponent only has his king. I only have a horse and a tower. Must I put him in check within every 3 moves or otherwise it is a draw?

Chess rule has nothing to do with check. It has to do with total number of moves or repeated positions.

No, you do not have to put him in check within every 3 moves. I would say more, but do not want to influence a game in progress. 🙂

I have suspected in the past that the dates regarding players can be misleading.
I think the poster may not be the original player who joined in 05 but has passed the account on to someone else(his young son or daughter perhaps)

If you look up the graph the pause has only been 10 and a half years.
