It's sad to say that I've pulled this one multiple times...
(I'm white, by the way)
1 e4 e5
2 Nf3 Nf6
3 Nxe5 Nxe4
4 Qf3 ...
If Ne4 moves to g5, f6, or d6, Qxf7 becomes fruitless. If black's queen moves to h4, Qxf7 is check, but not quite close enough. 4 ... f6 is the only other threat, trading black's knight and pawn for white's knight. Anything else either puts me up material and position or causes black to lose.

Excuse me?
Have you ever played chess before?
In recent months I have won and lost a number of games in 4 - 6 moves.
Even the more advanced players only need to make one simple mistake in the first few moves and the potential is there for a quick finish.

Martin, good players don't lose games in under 10 moves.
