Black King checkmated by White pawn has not been given automatically. Game ID 14547399 - Redstar vs Tomwkarlsson. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?Game 14547399

Hi Redstar,
You are missing something - the position isn’t checkmate.

@Tommovich

Maybe you are looking at a different snapshot. The position you should see is -
Black Queen in h6
White pawn in g5 and h4
White Knight f4
Black pawns in f7, g7,h7

Please confirm if this is the case or not?

Yes indeed…
The black king cannot move, but he has another move.
I understand we cannot comment on games in progress, but black has only one legal move.

Only three ways to get out of check. Move, Block, Take

Looking at the game link provided in your original post, there is no checkmate shown and the game is not over.

What is being called a black queen is a black king.
Only some of the remaining pieces were listed. All of them are part of the team.

Hopefully I have not made any inappropriate comments as the game is still in progress.

@Redstar
The main point is that move 22. g5 is not checkmate.

Given that g5 is not check mate, would Black know the next move naturally or will the game be kept hanging until it is perceived

I also do not wish to make any suggestive comments as the game is in progress -🙂

I have making a mistake all along. Therefore there is no need to continue this thread. My apologies

@Tommovich
Rook at c5 can take the pawn

@Thunderrook
Yes I failed to notice that due to brain fog yesterday. Black Rook has taken the White Pawn and the game is in progress.
