I read Nakamura tried 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5?! against some GM's. Seems this 'hope-chess' is really catching on.

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bc4 Nc6 4.Nc3 Bg4 5.h3 Bh5 6.Nxe5! Bxd1?? {better is 6....Nxe5 7.Qxh5 Nxc4 8.Qb5+ Qd7 9.Qxc4 white is up a pawn and controls the center} 7.Bxf7+ Kd7 8.Nd5#

Nothing big. Just Ng4, and white's a pawn up.

Several times I have had people try it on me after my second move was Nf3. The first time I thought my opponent was just blind but now I realize that people get relient on these traps and play it as their favorite opening. Hoping I'll move my Knight before castling I guess.

I saw a very strong GM try out Scholar's mate against a GM rated withoin the top 20 in the world.

It goes without saying that it didn't work - and it was in blitz chess...

I fell for that one once in a tournament. Those who are familiar with the Caro Kann proabably know what trap I am referring to.
