actually Eladar, you have a very good point. international master Alexander Bangiev, has stated the same principle, in which he states , in his foreword, to his theory on square strategy, what he terms the 'I principle'. in that all positions can and should be viewed from our own perspective, in that we are trying to develop our own initiative, our own attacks, yes we may have to defend, but again this is viewed from our own perspective. i tend to agree, let our opponent worry about finding his own moves, we have enough hassle finding our own!
