Hello guys,
I am looking for someone who is willing to play some blitz games wherever he/she likes it to. I want to improve my chess skills. I am playing for two years now. sometimes more sometimes less. I also read some books or played the tutorials in the chessmaster classroom. I could improve a bit but well it would be nice if someone in here would like to explain me a few things while playing and help me improve a bit further. Although I am new to the site I am not new to correspondence chess. I used to play it on another site before but this one is really nice. Enjoy your games!

2 Years is a reasonable amount. I'd be happy to help but I'm not the strongest player by any means... only 1750 or so.

Edit - Do you have a rating? I usually don't see a point in coaching anyone less than 200 points away from me, being as our skill levels really aren't that different.

The reason I ask is that I know a lot of people who were in the 1600's after just over a year of playing... so it's possible you and I and similar and strength, thereby making it impossible for me to coach you.

Anyways just throwin it out there πŸ™‚

Why don't you finish some games, become a subscriber and join a clan.

I would be happy to provide some tutoring to a member of OTB Chess Players.

Is your name a reference to Kristallnacht, the night the Nazi's unleashed a horrible pogrom against German Jews?

It seems like a reasonable question and surely an unpleasant coincidence for BlueCrystalKnight who presumably was not aware of this term: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht ...as this "night of the broken glass" or "crystal night" was purely anti-semetic, ruthless, violent and frightening.

I know about "Kristallnacht", but anyway - nickname BlueCrystalKnight should not make any associations with that event.

The name refers to Knight which is a figure in chess nothing more the cristall in front of it doesn't refer to the "Reichskristallnacht" and I really don't like it that we are still considered to be Nazis. There may be some people who are but these exist in other countries as well. I wasn't even born when Hitler and the Nazis started their cruel and stupid anti-semitism.
