Do you tell your parents when you have just mass debated? No? It's still important though isn't it, especially when you're young.

The fact is that someone with a wet lettuce for a brain could use an engine and undeservedly beat another player, someone who has actually put some effort into their moves. If a person is using a decent chess engine on a decent computer, I'm likely not playing him or her, because I'm not in that rating class. Most of my opponents ahve ratings that are +/- 200 of my own. A decent engine should be much higher.

I analyze almost all of my games with an engine after they have finished. None have been without obvious errors, usually by both players. I must conclude that none of my opponents have been using an engine, or they have done so incompetently.

However, one of the main attractions of RHP is that you get to play other people
from all around the world. I like that.

If I wanted to play against an engine, I wouldn't need to join an online chess site to do it. I cou ...[text shortened]... e being dishonest. You are cheating your opponents. More importantly, you are cheating yourself.

Lower-case "s". Well done 😵

But, you didn't need to write 'or not' because of the implication of the word 'whether'.

I tried to tell my parents when I had mass debated once. But they were too busy w**king to listen.
