I enjoy reading the many chess quotes out there from great and not so great players through out history. Feel free to share. I'd love to hear some new ones.

Q: what is the object of playing a gambit opening?

A: to acquire a reputation of being a dashing player at the cost of loosing the game.

It's alright these things go around in cirlces all the time.

It's just that one was just 6 weeks ago so I remembered it.

    I've got a new one.

"Endings are for wimps who don't know how to win a Middle Game."

I thought this one was cute and clever.

"I won't play with you anymore. You have insulted my friend."
Miguel Najdorf, at blitz, when an opponent cursed himself for a blunder.
