one possiblity is

Be6 check Kd8
Bd7 h8Q

Can't black play e5 instead of h8Q, stopping the checkmate?

Oh wait, You can just move the king over. Nevermind. 🙂

Well I'm pretty sure you're right and I was wrong. That's why I generally don't post in the forums. I make myself look stupid.

Man I having a hard time seeing that.

I think you mean King to d6 if black pushes the pawn to e5. Am I seeing that correctly? That seems to cover everything.

Nice find.

Now I am wondering on the other one what happens if instead of the king moving to a8 it moves back to c8 in the line of the disovered attack of the bishop. Ill leave that one for you.

Here's what I got.

1 Be6+ Kb8
2 Nd7+ Kc8
3 Nc5+ Kb8 ( if Kd8 then Bd7)
4 Kb6 h8Q
5 Na6+ Ka8
6 Bd5+

Also if 4... Ka8 then
5 Na6 wins.
