Chessmaster 8000 problem any suggestions ?

I've had to remove and then re-install Chessmaster8000 on this XP machine. All seemed ok, but when I run the program all the text from the click boxes e.g. 'Login', 'Quit' etc on the opening page are missing and, going to the GamesRoom all the dropdown menu headings 'File' etc are missing.
When I removed the program a dialogue box game up detailing 'cm800.ttf'
perhps I clicked on the wrong box then ?

Any suggestions?
