I don't know my uscf. I've only played in about 10 games or so, but I play on an equal level w/ 1500 players otb. Here my rating was usually around 1400-1450 a year ago, but I think as rhp has grown, ratings have gone up, since I've been back I've won most of my games and it seems likely that my rating here will level off over 1500.

But a better way to figure out a coorelation would be to figure out the the rating to be in the top 10, 20, 50% on this site, and compare it to the top 10,20, 50% in USCF. If we assume about the same level of people play here as do in USCF OTB games, it should work
good idea! I'll see if I can get these data.

Just out of curiosity, what's correlation between RedHotPawn and USCF ratings? People with USCF rating, could you tell me your ratings, let's compare them! Given enough data, I could perform rigorous correlation analysis, just for fun.
My theory is that RHP rating = b1*USCF+b2*use_board+b3*avg_time+b4*DB
You know something like that...

Additionally, the USCF have been deliberately inflating their ratings. I think I could pack a mean punch for a 1425 player and perhaps surprise a few people. At the very least it would be nice to test the waters. I view OTB as "real" chess and all else as practice.
You need to play more OTB
