The only reason you shouldn't have offered the draw from the end position is because it's unethical when you're losing so badly. Rg6 (among others, but this skewer is the more obvious move) and black wins easily. So yes, you psyched your opponent into giving up half a point. Nice Job 🙂

few ideas:

12. Qf7+ is interesting, as the king must move to c6 to avoid material loss.

14. Nd5+? is inferior to Ng8+! which is a winner because no matter what black does white wins with 15. Qf7#

15. Nxc7?! is kinda weird but w/e

To answer your question: you should not have offered the draw, and instead played 17. BxR for a clear advantage
