Ducks around a pond

Looking in the blitz room its like ducks around a pond, how come no one wants to play?

I'm there now. There are 30 ducks present.

I just played a few quickies! Blitz is totally fun. People shouldn't worry about loosing! I blew chunks my first day/time. Was up in my first 3 games, then blundered a rook in all 3. A draw on my 4th.. 2nd day ever playing blitz (today) I won both games. Loosing is fun too, as you get better.
So everyone just go and play

I played a nice game. It would help if the ducks around the pond took to the water.

I had a nice win over Ceders. Blitz is blitz so I don't take the game seriously or even save the game. Its just for amusement.

Its rare to see someone over 1500 in the bltz room.

that's because RHP blitz is unrated. most people play their blitz on ICC, FICS or playchess.

I met two 2000+ players in blitz room, all of two dropping material, opening with e3 or so.... Interesting .... 😛

there's nothing wrong in opening with e3 in blitz. I've played even a sort of mirrored dutch leningrad castling long and it worked okay. anything weird goes in blitz, there's just no time to 'refute' anything.
